We need Skype on occasion for communication, so I can't just leave it off these systems. Yet nevertheless, when I restart the system and login, I'm greeted by Skype for Business deciding that it's better to start than to listen to what I tell it. ![]() ![]() I have verified there's nothing under HKLM\Software, nothing in MSConfig, nothing under Startup in the Start Menu, and no services pertaining to SfB set to automatic start. ![]() I have removed it from the registry under HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run. I have opened the Options panel and unchecked both the "Autostart with Windows" and "Start in Foreground" boxes. Problem is, it insists on auto-launching at login. Office 2013 gets put on them, and as we use Skype for Business (formerly Lync, wish the idiotic name-change hadn't happened) fairly heavily for intra-office communication, SfB goes on along with it. I have a few netbooks here that I'm setting up as lightweight remote-access systems. I've searched out this problem elsewhere and I know I'm not the only one having it. ![]()
